University Grenoble Alpes has been setting up an OSPO focused on open science through the institution after many years of being deeply involved in supporting scientific communities around open source software. This great initiative led by pluridisciplinary virtual team, has for goal to help scientists transform research software from invisible byproduct to managed institutional asset.

OSPO UGA was officially kicked off a year ago (see inaugural event) and the team already shared a great learning OSPO Alliance OnRamp session back in May Institutional implementation. Setting up an OSPO: lessons from the field at Grenoble Alpes University and published a reference open science paper on OSPO in academic.

Following the OSPO onRamp webinar in May, the UGA OSPO would like to contribute to the OSPO Alliance’s efforts to promote the development of academic OSPOs, particularly in France.
